advised to read on first!

VRML virtual worlds are still in the early stages of development on the Internet.
Our virtual world is a Virtual Gallery of
photographs from the productions of the children's operas Coyote and the Winter that
Never Ends and Wizard Things at Norwood School, Wetaskiwin, Alberta, Canada.
You walk around it, in 3D, just like a real gallery, but using your mouse. It's great fun!

However....
You really need the following:
a 28,800 modem or a faster link
Netscape 4 or Microsoft Internet Explorer 4 (IE4)
A Pentium computer or higher (or Mac equivalent)
If you don't have these things, click
and you will be taken to the main menu page
and you will be taken to the Coyote photograph page
and you will be taken to the Wizard Things photograph page
If you do have these things
then when you click on the start arrow below, your browser will start to build
the virtual world.
However....!
The Gallery takes a long time to load (around 10 minutes) so you have time to go get a
cup of coffee or what you will!
We have found no problems in Netscape, except
that movement is slow in the Cosmos plug-in.
But in Microsoft Internet Explorer, we have found you may need to
sort out the IE plug-in (see below).
When you do colours and image are correct.
(note to IE4 users. If everything looks
fuzzy or monochrome after the Gallery has loaded,
1. right click with the mouse in the middle of the screen 2. Switch on 'full colour'
3. Click on 'options' 4. Switch 'hardware acceleration' off.
If necessary, reload
This is a real nuisance, but you only have to do this once.
On our fairly advanced system, these settings really worked, and we got high quality
images and movement!)
But it's worth it, and kids love it!
