The Raven King is the most successful of the KidsOperas to date, and has been seen in productions ranging from the small-scale to major festival productions (Banff Arts Festival, Wexford festival Opera, XIII International New Music Festival in Morelia, Mexico). It has been seen and heard in the Royal Albert Hall, the National Concert Hall of Wales (St. David's Hall). We are looking for a publisher for it .
One of the interesting features of these productions is how adaptable the opera is to different cultures - mythical at the Banff Arts Festival, Celtic in Wales, Mayan in Mexico.
This is a full-length opera that requires professional or near-professional adult soloists, and professional percussion and piano players. It also uses electronics, which are available pre-recorded from KidsOp.
Scores and parts are available either in
printed format or as electronic files in Finale format.
The electronics in The
Raven King were made possible by the loan of the fabulous JP8000 Analogue
